The <\/span><\/span>2<\/span><\/span>nd<\/span><\/span> Joint Technical Committee (JTC)<\/span><\/span> Meeting<\/span><\/span> for the MoU on Use of Inlan<\/span><\/span>d Waterways for Transportation of Bilateral Trade and Transit Cargoes between t<\/span><\/span>he Government of the People\u2019<\/span><\/span>s Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) and the Royal Government o<\/span><\/span>f Bhutan (RGoB<\/span><\/span>) was held virtually on J<\/span><\/span>une <\/span><\/span>15, 2021. The Bhutan delegation<\/span><\/span> was led by<\/span><\/span> Ms. Rinchen Lhazom, <\/span><\/span>O<\/span><\/span>fft<\/span><\/span>g<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>Director General,<\/span><\/span> Department of Trade with <\/span><\/span>senior <\/span><\/span>representatives <\/span><\/span>f<\/span><\/span>rom Department of Law and Order (MoHCA),<\/span><\/span>Department of Revenue and Customs<\/span><\/span> (MoF)<\/span><\/span>, Ministry of Information and Communication and <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>Ministry of Foreign <\/span><\/span><\/a>Affairs<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>The Bangladesh delegation was led by H.E<\/span><\/span> Mr. A.T.M. Monemul Haque, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Shipping with repre<\/span><\/span>sentatives<\/span><\/span> from <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>National <\/span><\/span>Board<\/span><\/span> of <\/span><\/span>R<\/span><\/span>evenue, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority and Foreign Affairs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span><\/span>2<\/span><\/span>nd<\/span><\/span> JTC Meeting discussed the amendment of the<\/span><\/span> Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the MoU <\/span><\/span>that <\/span><\/span>was signed in April 2019<\/span><\/span> and<\/span><\/span> discussed the inclusion of additional ports<\/span><\/span> of call<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>notific<\/span><\/span>ation of port of calls and inclusion of entry exit points among others<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
