The DoE, MoENR hosted a delegation from #Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 24th March 2026. The delegation had an hour-long discussion with the Department during which exchanges were held on the investments aspects in renewable energy (RE) development in the wake opening of the sector to private investments since 2025. DG-DoE shared the RE targets, investments required and implementation modalities for development of solar PV energy in particular. The DoE made a detailed presentation on solar investment prospects based on the National Solar Energy Roadmap 2025. The delegation showed keen interest to be part of the new energy landscape in Bhutan and comprised of officials from #Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), #Adani, #Hero Future Energies, Kalpataru Projects, #Ashoka Buildcon, #NHPC, #REC & #Loom Solar.
