{"id":16070,"date":"2026-03-27T11:56:05","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T05:26:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.moenr.gov.bt\/?p=16070"},"modified":"2026-04-14T17:47:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T11:17:39","slug":"expression-of-interest-eoi-document-for-department-of-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moenr.gov.bt\/?p=16070","title":{"rendered":"Expression of Interest (EoI) document for Department of Energy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><strong>The Department of Energy (DoE), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTFEC), and United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), is implementing the Mitigation Action Facility (MAF) \u2013 Market-Driven Solar Power Solutions Project.As part of this initiative, a Green Finance Facility (GFF) is being designed to catalyze private sector investment in Solar PV projects in Bhutan, aligning with national targets of 1 GW by 2030 and 5 GW by 2040. To support the design and operationalization of this facility, the Department plans to float a non-binding Expression of Interest (EoI).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><br><strong>The EoI is intended as a market sounding exercise to assess private sector interest and identify potential investment-ready projects, and inform the design of financing mechanisms under the GFF.
