He was accompanied by Mr. Sudhakar Dalela, JS(North), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ms. Archana Agrawal, JS(Hydro) from Ministry of Power, Ms. N. Subhashini, Deputy Secretary (Bhutan), MEA and Mr. K.K. Arya, Member (Hydro), Central Electricity Authority (CEA). During the period, the GoI delegation visited the 1,200MW Punatsangchhu-I and 1,020MW Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project construction sites and held discussions with the project managements on progress and challenges of the constructions. The Director General of the Department of Hydropower &amp; Power Systems, MoEA accompanied the delegation during the site visits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4326 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moea.gov.bt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/GoI-Delegation.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"554\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.moenr.gov.bt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/GoI-Delegation.jpg 554w, https:\/\/www.moenr.gov.bt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/GoI-Delegation-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.moenr.gov.bt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/GoI-Delegation-400x274.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 554px) 100vw, 554px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While in Thimphu, the delegation held Power Secretary level meetings with RGoB on 26<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> February 2018. The first meeting on Mangdechhu export tariff was held besides the discussions on Sankosh project implementation, CBTE issues, project challenges and other issues of mutual interest. The two sides also signed the Minutes on the Chukha export tariff revision from Nu. 2.25 per unit to Nu. 2.55 per unit. The two sides agreed to meet in April for second round of bilateral discussions on Mangdechhu tariff in order to finalize the export tariff by August 2018. The meetings were held in a friendly and cordial manner.
