As an interim arrangement and an exceptional gesture to support the agricultural exports of Bhutan, the Government of India has decided to allow import of chilli, beans, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, peas and soyabeanfrom Bhutan into India through the Plan Quarantine Station at Jaigaon with effect from July 14, 2021. The interim arrangement will be formalized once the necessary notifications are finalized and published as per due procedure by the Government of India. This arrangement is expected to facilitate unhindered exports of these vegetables to the Indian market.
