The Department of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, is currently developing the National Clean Air Action Plan (NCAAP) for Bhutan. 

The Department of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, is currently developing the National Clean Air Action Plan (NCAAP) for Bhutan. 

As part of the NCAAP process, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) from India has been engaged as the technical partner to conduct the emission inventory and source apportionment studies across key sectors. To support the implementation of these air quality management studies, TERI is seeking to recruit a Research Associate/Consultant with relevant expertise. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: M.Sc/M.Tech. in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering (specialization in air pollution, air quality, meteorology, or a related field).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with local government agencies and stakeholders.
  • Conduct field surveys across key sectors such as residential, industrial, and transport, etc.).
  • Support air quality monitoring and data compilation activities. 
  • Assist in emission inventory development and clean air action planning.

This role is open exclusively to Bhutanese nationals with the required qualifications and experience.
