The Civil Servant Awards ceremony of the Ministry of Economic Affairs was held on December 13, 2017. The Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs awarded the civil servant awards to the recipients.
During the awards ceremony, the Secretary shared that as per the Royal Command of His Majesty, the civil servant awards were a way of acknowledging, thanking and expressing gratitude to our civil servants for serving the Tsa-Wa-Sum for so long and with much dedication. It was also to serve as a reminder and acknowledgement of the greater responsibilities that lay ahead.
This year, 68 civil servants of the Ministry were awarded medals and certificates. There were 35 recipients who had served 10 years or more, another 17 recipients who had served 20 years or more, 4 recipients who had served 30 years or more and 12 recipients were awarded lifetime service awards.
