Dasho Phuntsho Norbu, Director General, Department of Industry (DoI), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MoEA) officially retires from the Civil Service on December 31, 2018. Dasho has joined the Civil Service on April 1, 1984 as Assistant Geologist in the same Ministry.
Dasho held many important portfolios during his 34 years and 8 months of service. Dasho served as Assistant Geologist, Junior Geologist, Senior Geologist, Deputy General Manager in the Ministry and as Dy. Managing Director, Joint Managing Director of Tala Hydroelectric Project, Joint Managing Director of Punatsangchu Hydroelectric Project Authority prior to his appointment as the Director General of DoI, MoEA on June 15, 2017.
Dasho was awarded the “Bura Marp” by His Majesty the King during the 105th National Day in 2012.
