On June 11, 2017, one day BAW was conducted for 48 trainees of Training on “Repair of Home Appliances” at Jigme Wangchuk Power Training Institute located at Dekiling, Sarpang Dzongkhag. In addition, BAW was also conducted on June 13, 2017, for 40 participants at Damphu, Tsirang. In total, the Department conducted BAW for 88 potential CSI entrepreneurs.
The main objective of conducting the BAWs is to promote cottage and small industries. BAW is mainly used as a forum to disseminate information related to starting and operating a business such as extant rules and regulations, policies, incentives, schemes and support programs.
To encourage self employment amongst youths with vocational skills, DCSI also sensitized 119 final year students of Jigme Wangchuk Power Training Institute on June 12, 2017.
