Following the launch of “Our Gyenkhu: Citizen’s Initiative for the Benefit of Rural and Underprivileged Households in Bhutan,” a total of 28 individuals including the Heads of Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Chiefs and other officials have voluntarily come forward to support the noble initiative on 26th April, 2019.
The objective of supporting the initiative is to reach out the subsidized LPG to the underprivileged household and to reduce queuing time for the underprivileged households. It is hoped that all privileged and those who can afford a price difference of Nu. 294 per cylinder will also join this noble initiative of responsible citizen move to ease pressure on the subsidized LPG and enhance rural LPG connection for underprivileged households.
