The Ministry of Economic Affairs conducted Annual Conference from June 10-11, 2019 in Thimphu. Hon’ble Tengye Lyonpo graced the opening session of the conference. Addressing the gathering, Lyonpo emphasized that Regional Trade and Industry Offices (RTIOs) and Economic Development Officers (EDOs) must make works convenient and easier to the public through the use of IT services with the guidance from the Departments.
The objective of the conference was to enhance coordination between the Ministry and the field agencies (RTIOs and EDOs) to resolve gaps, challenges and issues faced by the field agencies thereby enhancing public service delivery.
The two days conference was attended by Hon’ble Secretary, Heads of Department, Division Chiefs, Regional Directors, EDOs and relevant officials from the Ministry.
