The Third Bilateral Trade Talk between the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of Nepal was held from 29-30 August 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The main objective of the Meeting was to discuss the draft Bilateral Trade Agreement between the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of Nepal. The two sides resumed the discussion after a gap of 8 years. The meeting reviewed the decisions of the Second Bilateral Trade Talk held in May 2011 and finalized the draft texts of the Trade Agreement and its Protocol.
The Bhutanese delegation was led by Mr. Sonam Tenzin, Director, Department of Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Royal Government of Bhutan and the Nepali delegation was led by Mr. Navaraj Dhakal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Government of Nepal.
Bilateral trade between the two countries has grown steadily over the years and total trade accounted for Nu. 616.78 million in 2018.
