The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea and with the assistance of the Korea Copyright Commission (KCC) and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency (KCOPA), organized a Second Edition of Virtual Workshop on Korea Copyright System in Support of Creative Start-up Companies on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
The Workshop consists of two phases. Phase one consisted of presentations on how the Republic of Korea has been providing policy interventions supporting creative start-up companies in the music sector. Phase two of the program will be on a virtual Copyright clinic for interested participants to provide personalized one-to-one assistance and advice from experts to address their queries and needs which will be on May 1 to July 31, 2022.
A total of 69 participants composed of officials from the Intellectual Property Offices, artists, and managers of start-up music companies of Asian and Pacific countries attended the virtual program.
