Procurement of Plant: Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic Systems including Remote Monitoring Device, Bhutan

The Department of Renewable Energy (DRE) would like to inform that the Royal Government of Bhutan has received Grant from the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR 9211) through Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the implementation of Alternative Renewable Energy Pilot Project. The Project is being implemented by the Department of Renewable Energy as the Executing Agency and Bhutan Power Corporation limited as the Implementing Agency.

Part of the grant is being used for procurement of plants towards pilot testing the installation of 3kW small-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to the marginalized rural households and integrate it to the national grid to enable them to produce energy for their own consumption while also creating income generation opportunities through sale of excess power to the grid.

In this regard, DRE encourages all the eligible bidders to submit sealed bids for the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic Systems including Remote Monitoring Device (“the Facilities”) to Bhutan Power Corporation. The Facilities comprise of Main Electrical System including solar PV modules, inverters, cables, protection equipment and Solar PV Module Mounting Structures.
