With approval of the Lhengye Zhungtshog and RCSC, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has merged the Department of Industry and Department of Cottage & Small Industry as the Department of Industry; and the Department of Renewable Energy and Department of Hydropower and Power Systems as the Department of Energy in a a simple ceremony on 2nd October 2022. The ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Tengye Lyonpo and attended by the Secretary, MoEA; Focal Commissioner, RCSC; heads of the Departments and officials of the Ministry.
