The Ministry of Energy & Natural Resources formally welcomed the January 2025 appointees under the Professional & Management Category by conducting an Induction and Orientation Program on 20th February 2025, following the completion of their Foundational In-service Training at the Royal Institute of Management (RIM).
A total of 25 new officers have joined the Ministry, comprising: 14 Forestry Officers, 5 Assistant Environment Officers, 3 Geologists, an Assistant Chemist, a Legal Officer, and an Assistant Procurement Officer.
The event was graced by the Hon’ble Lyonpo, Hon’ble Secretary, and Heads of Departments.
In his keynote address, the Hon’ble Lyonpo extended his heartfelt congratulations to the appointees for their achievement in securing a place in the prestigious civil service and for being entrusted with responsibilities in one of the biggest ministries. He emphasized that under the visionary leadership of His Majesty the King, Bhutan has experienced unprecedented peace and prosperity. He urged the new officers to uphold the highest standards of service, integrity, and dedication in their duty to the Tsa-Wa-Sum.
Furthermore, the Hon’ble Lyonpo underscored the importance of adhering to the civil service values and code of conduct, emphasizing professionalism, accountability, and ethical governance. He stated that Bhutan is embarking on the 10-fold efficiency in the delivery of roles and responsibilities. To this, he said that they should be the agent of this initiative.
