Skills4Life Program- Enhancing Lifelong Learning

In line with His Majesty the King’s vision to initiate a program to enhance the capabilities of our current workforce, especially the support staff, the Ministry of Economic Affairs launched the Skills4Life Program – Enhancing Lifelong Learning on 8th September 2022. The program aims to equip support staff with skills of their interest mainly to keep up with the rapidly changing world of work brought on by technology and systemic transformation. This initiative is part of a larger vision to inculcate a culture of lifelong learning through skilling, reskilling and upskilling so that they become resilient and adaptable. It will also provide learning opportunities to enable them to meaningfully contribute to nation building.

In the pilot phase, the program is being rolled out to 13 ESP/GSP personnel in tailoring for a duration of 1 month. Following this, the Ministry shall be rolling out training in Driving as well.

Keeping in mind the importance of budget rationalization, the program is being conducted in one of the conference halls of the Startup Centre, Changzamtog with minimal financial implication. Furthermore, in order not to disrupt the normal office functions, the program shall be conducted after office and during weekend.
